Yesterday the nation’s largest organization of veterans who served in Afghanistan and Iraq announced their endorsement of Walt Minnick, a candidate for Congress in Idaho’s First Congressional District.

“We’re confident that Walt has the right judgment and experience and stated positions to be one of the greatest friends that troops and veterans can have in Congress,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of VoteVets.org. “Walt understands that we need to go on the offense against al Qaeda where they are strongest, in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and that the war in Iraq is a real drain in those efforts. Walt, as a veteran, also understands what it will take to keep America’s promise to those who serve in uniform, and their families. We know we can count on him.”

Today the Minnick for Congress campaign also launched a new web commercial featuring Idaho veterans talking about their support for Walt. You can view the video here.
