Minnick endorsed by Professional Firefighters of Idaho

Mike Walker, vice president of the Professional Firefighters of Idaho, announced in a letter that the group has endorsed and is actively supporting Walt Minnick in his race against incumbent Rep. Bill Sali.

Minnick pledged that, as a Congressman, he will work with local and national first-responder groups on health, safety and labor issues.

Idaho Congressman is 423 on ‘power rankings’ of Congress.org, behind delegates from Guam, American Samoa

The people of Guam and American Samoa are U.S. citizens, but their delegates to the U.S. Congress have no voting privileges.

However, those two non-voting delegates have more influence in the U.S. Congress than does Rep. Bill Sali, a freshman from Idaho, according to the website Congress.org.

Meridian Chamber endorses Walt Minnick

In a surprise move, one of Idaho’s most influential business groups yesterday announced its endorsement of Walt Minnick, a candidate in Idaho’s First Congressional District running against incumbent Bill Sali.

The Meridian Chamber PAC, a separate affiliate of the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, issued the endorsement on Tuesday, less than a week after Minnick and Sali debated before the group.
